Every month, I hold three writing spaces where we can put in the work of writing, from sticking with a project to revising to clearing out our creative clutter. Here’s our September schedule — I hope you can join us for one or more of these!
If you’re looking for even more community and connection, Harvest Week is coming up! 7 days, 20+ opportunities to fall into your creativity 🍁 Rekindle your creative spark, whether you need fresh ideas or motivation for an existing project.

A reminder to pick up that project you’re “working on” but haven’t touched in ages and put some progress in your work-in-progress. We’ll spend 90 minutes getting some work in and moving our projects along.
Prompt Potluck
Sunday 9/28 at 12 pm PT/2 pm CT/3 pm ET
An invitation to dig into your stash of prompts from the courses, newsletters, social media challenges, freebie downloads, etc. that you’ve collected and promised yourself you’d come back to someday.
🌿 Along the Vine co-writes (free)
Every Saturday 9/28 at 12 pm PT/2 pm CT/3 pm ET
Along the Vine co-writes are a time and space for you to focus on your own writing. You can come with a project in mind, bring out one of those prompts you’ve been meaning to try, or just see what comes up. Sign up for the mailing list and you’ll receive an email with the Zoom link before each session.
How to join a Work(ing) in Progress event
If you’re a paid subscriber or a member of the Wildflower Creative Collective, access to all three WIP events is free and you just have to stay tuned for the Zoom link on the day of each event.
Free subscribers and visitors, you can grab a one-time ticket for the events you want to attend here. You can also upgrade to a paid subscription to get access to all three events each month. Pro-tip: Join my mailing list for exclusive discounts and offers!
I hope I see you at one or more of these events this month, or in the future. I’ll leave you with a reminder about the work of writing:
"Good stories rise up from inspiration and labor, over great lengths of time. ... Your draft, however brilliant, can mature and likely must mature before it engages an audience. That your writing will benefit from more work says nothing about your value as a human being or your skills as a writer." — Elizabeth Jarrett Andrews, Living Revision
Ready to put in the work? Great news: You don’t have to do it alone.
Thanks for being a subscriber to Work(ing) in Progress! If you’re enjoying the content or events, consider sharing it with a writer in your life:
